InControl founder Kelsey Joson, smiling.

It began with a simple question:

What happens when they turn 21?

During a summer job supporting students on accessible transportation, Kelsey began to wonder who was taking care of the disabled adult community after they graduate out of the school system?

This question sparked the vision of a business that would serve the adult community by educating them around the four pillars of wellness: physical activity, nutrition, community skills, and spiritual development.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, a Master’s of Education in Physical Education, Health Education and Developmental Adapted Physical Education, and years of experience coaching, training, and mentoring, Kelsey’s contagious enthusiasm and heart for service are a blessing to individuals with disabilities and caretakers alike.

A firm foundation in Christ

We are proud to be a woman-owned, black-owned business, nurtured by Kelsey’s deep faith in Christ. Our mission is firmly planted in the truth found in the bible: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

In 2016, while listening to the Kirk Franklin gospel song, “Still (In Control),” Kelsey found the perfect name for her future company: InControl. Her goal from the very beginning has been to inspire adults with disabilities, bolster their confidence in the Lord, and help them take control of their wellness.

Our staff at InControl believe that you can do ALL things, and we’re here to support and guide you into believing it too!
